Our commitment
Many EduConnect learners are children. EduConnect Zimbabwe is committed to protecting them from harm and abuse, and to taking every safety concern seriously. This policy applies to everyone who uses EduConnect, including teachers, institutions, parents, guardians and learners.
Teachers on EduConnect
- Teachers submit their identity documents and qualifications when they register.
- Our team reviews these before a teacher profile goes live.
- A teacher whose profile has not been approved cannot accept bookings.
Parents & guardians
- Parents and guardians create their children's learner accounts and decide how much access an older child gets.
- Bookings made for a child are visible to the parent or guardian who manages them.
- Younger learners should only use EduConnect with a parent or guardian's knowledge.
What we expect
We expect everyone on the platform to treat learners with respect and to act in their best interests. In particular, teachers must never:
- harm, threaten, humiliate or exploit a learner in any way;
- behave inappropriately towards a learner, in person, online or in messages;
- arrange to meet a child in a way that a parent or guardian has not agreed to.
A teacher who breaks these rules may be suspended or removed from EduConnect.
Reporting a concern
If you are worried about a child's safety or about the behaviour of someone on EduConnect, please tell us right away:

- Call us on +263777801346.
- Message us on WhatsApp.
- Email conwell.mujuru@educonnect.org.zw.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police or local emergency services first, then tell us.
What happens next
- We review every report promptly and treat it confidentially.
- We may suspend a teacher while we look into a report.
- Where it is appropriate, we will work with the relevant authorities.
We handle information about children in line with our privacy policy.
