Who we are
EduConnect is a digital education marketplace based in Harare, Zimbabwe. We connect students, parents and guardians, teachers, institutions and advertisers. We handle personal information in line with Zimbabwe's Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07].
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your name, email address and (optionally) phone number when you use our contact form.
- The topic and content of your message.
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address when you submit the contact form, to help prevent spam and abuse.
- Cookies that keep the site working and, with your consent, analytics cookies. See our cookie policy.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and give you the help you asked for.
- To keep this website secure and protect it from spam.
- With your consent, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we won't send you marketing unless you have asked us to.
Sharing your information
We only share information with trusted service providers who help us run this website, such as our hosting and email providers, and only as far as they need it to provide their service. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Retention & security
We keep contact form messages only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and keep reasonable records, then delete them. We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect your information.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Delete your information when we no longer have a reason to keep it.
- Stop using your information for a particular purpose, or withdraw consent you gave earlier.
Children
This website is intended for a general audience. On the EduConnect platform, parents and guardians manage accounts for younger learners, and older learners can only sign up with a parent's or guardian's consent.
